2006 - Land Acquisition – 143 acres donated to the San Antonio Parks Foundation; donors have valued the donation at $5-7 million (Undeveloped land across the river is currently valued at $6 - 8,000 an acre).
2002 – 19+ acres of property purchased - $200,000 project (this contribution was also used for the Texas Parks and Wildlife grant, in which a match was received and used for trail development at the park.)
2001 - An additional $151,000 was donated from the Kronkosky Charitable Fund through the San Antonio Parks Foundation, which included the cost for the park Masterplan. As of 2006, total acreage for the Medina River Natural Area now stands at 505.
Japanese Tea Garden – Current project, was taken on by the Friends of the Parks and the San Antonio Parks Foundation in the Fall of 2004. Masterplan payments to date (September 2006) - $32,000+
The San Antonio Parks Foundation has now raised $500,000 towards the restoration and renovation of the Japanese Tea Garden project.
Sunken Garden Theater – New project 2006
$30,000 paid to date on the Masterplan.
Lady Eco - 2005-2006
Environmental Cleaning Vessel custom used for cleaning the San Antonio River in the Riverwalk area. $100,000 was raised by the San Antonio Parks Foundation for this unique project.

Development of a new riverside park named in honor of Mayor Howard Peak. The project included benches and landscaping - $15,000 project

Arneson River Theater
The Parks Foundation oversees the ongoing general maintenance to the facility. The Arneson River Theater bank account is managed by the San Antonio Parks Foundation.

In 2003 the Parks Foundation began organizational efforts of a membership advocacy and volunteer organization for the parks in San Antonio, now known as Friends of the Parks. The overall objective of Friends of the Parks is to broaden the base of supporters and advocates for the public park system of San Antonio; to provide a stronger link between neighborhoods, individual citizens and the parks; and to create and renovate more park spaces for the enjoyment of all citizens. The flagship project of Friends of the Parks is the restoration of the Japanese Tea Garden.
