Mission Statement

"The mission of the San Antonio Parks Foundation is to provide enhancements to the City of San Antonio’s parks system which improve the quality of life for all its citizens."

The San Antonio Parks Foundation is a private, 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization committed to expanding, protecting, and revitalizing San Antonio's treasured parks, open spaces and playgrounds for the citizens of San Antonio as well as visitors to our beautiful city.  In accomplishing its mission, the San Antonio Parks Foundation works in coordination with the Director of the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of San Antonio to identify selected projects for improvement.

Recognizing that a municipal budget can only provide for a basic level of maintenance and services, the Parks Foundation is able to generate funds for park improvements with the generous assistance of philanthropic foundations, corporations, and individual contributions.
