“The H-E-B Military Cook-Off has been postponed until 2016"

District 7 Councilman Cris Medina says, “Each Fourth of July, our community celebrates our nation’s independence and the democratic process ensured by our federal Constitution. And what better way to celebrate than at the City’s official July Fourth Celebration at Woodlawn Lake Park here in the heart of District 7.” The Councilman also reminds everyone to be on the lookout for and use the designated recycling stations located throughout the park. “Let’s hear it for the red, white, and blue…… but keep it green, too,” added the councilman.

“Thus may the 4th of July, that glorious and ever memorable day, be celebrated through America, by the sons of freedom, from age to age till time shall be no more. Amen, and amen.” - Virginia Gazette, July 1777
