The Japanese Tea Gardens are open for Professional Photography:
Monday-Sunday, year-round.
Permit Fee:
Film/Professional or Amateur Portraits/Commercial Photography: $20/day - Pay via PayPal on the main Japanese Tea Garden page.
Personal Use/Event Photos: $0
Please note that the Japanese Tea Garden is a public park, and therefore exclusive use is not guaranteed. Park is open from sunrise until sunset every day.
-No more than 10 people in one photo shoot.
-Dressing rooms are not available. Jingu House Cafe restrooms are for customers only.
-Photographs must be tasteful. All models must be fully clothed.
-Bring a copy of your PayPal confirmation with you the day of your shoot. It will serve as your proof of purchase.
-Permits can be purchased in the San Antonio Parks Foundation online store.
